The Pa Kao Ma is made from cotton woven into a checkered rectangle. Most Thai people have a PA-KAO-MA used by everyone. Used as apparel face wrap, body wrap, waste wrap. Ancient Thai fighters and even fighters in Thailand today wear the PA-KAO-MA when entering the ring signifying what regions of Thailand they are from.
